Start Your Fridays with Rajio Taiso & Community Building

Looking for a simple way to move your body and connect with the JET community?

Join us for Rajio Taiso every Friday morning! This is a fun, low-pressure way to start the day with some light stretching and good conversation.

What’s Rajio Taiso?
If you lived in Japan, you’ve probably seen (or even done!) these classic morning exercises before. Maybe at your school’s undoukai?? Rajio Taiso is a short, easy-to-follow routine that helps wake up your body and loosen stiff muscles—no special equipment or workout clothes needed!

But beyond the stretching, this is also a time to connect. Hosted by Monica Yuki (Saitama, 2002-04), our weekly meetups are a chance to check in, chat, and share a few laughs with fellow JET alumni. It’s a small, friendly community, and new faces are always welcome!

We meet every Friday at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET. Come as you are, get a quick stretch in, and start your weekend on a good note.
